Sierra Pacific Industries made several key appointments in its Windows Division, including hiring Tom Takach as vice president of Operations, and promoting Bob Taylor to vice president of Business Development and Customer Service and Dominic Truniger to vice president of Sales & Marketing.

In his new position, Takach will oversee manufacturing and operations for Sierra Pacific’s Red Bluff, Calif., windows plant as well as the two newly acquired Hurd and Superseal Window and Door plants in Wisconsin. Takach joins SP Windows with over 21 years of experience in the window and door industry, primarily with Jeld-Wen.

“We are pleased that Tom has joined Sierra Pacific at a time when we are expanding our sales and manufacturing capabilities,” says Kendall Pierson, president of Sierra Pacific Windows. “His background and experience have prepared him for managing the increases in sales and production we expect at our Red Bluff and Hurd facilities."

Taylor played a key role in the success of the SP Window and Door operations and was previously the plant manager at the SP Windows Plant in Red Bluff, Calif. “The company will benefit from Bob’s 23 years of experience as we expand into new markets for our products,” says Pierson. “Bob's vast knowledge of our production processes and sales operations will be a great asset in the expansion of our window and door production."

Truniger joined SPI as part of the company’s recent purchase of HWD Acquisition (dba Hurd Windows & Doors). As president and CEO of Hurd since 2006, he successfully guided the Hurd brand to double its market share. “We are excited about Dom’s branding expertise and proven track record at Hurd,” says Pierson. “We’re anticipating that kind of success for our entire window line.” Truniger has 32 years of experience in the window and door industry. Prior to Hurd, he held sales and marketing leadership roles with Jeld-Wen, Crestline and Semco.
