To support its continued growth, Western Window Systems has added two new members to its operations team.  Scott Gates has been promoted to be vice president and general manager and Garvin Peterson has joined the manufacturer as operations director.

Gates previoiusly served as marketing director for the manufacturer of multipanel door systems.  In his new role, he will continue to oversee Western’s marketing efforts, but also plays a broader role in managing the day-to-day functions.

Peterson comes to Western with extensive experience in the very highest levels of manufacturing. Having worked at Motorola for more than 20 years, he is a six sigma black belt with extensive lean manufacturing experience.  His responsibilities include working with plant managers to help make our plant an industry leader in production efficiency.

“Scott and Garvin are two of the smartest guys I have ever worked with," says Jason Funk, president of the Phoenix, Ariz.-based company. "The thing that gets me pumped is they both have a great track record of making everyone around them better. We have such a good team at Western. Now I am excited to see the way these guys will help take our team to the next level.”
