Power Home Remodeling Group, which says it is now the nation’s fourth largest home remodeling company, has expanded with new operations in Melville, N.Y. With the move into the greater New York metropolitan area, Power has already hired more than 50 employees on Long Island and plans to create at least 100 jobs in 2011 and another 100 to 250 jobs in 2012.

A group led by Fila Korea Ltd., the owner of the Fila brand globally, and Mirae Asset Private Equity, the largest private equity firm in Korea, is buying the Acushnet Co. golf business, including the Titleist and FootJoy brands, from Fortune Brands Inc. Due to strong demand for its Pella 350 Series vinyl products, Pella Corp. plans to add 75 workers at its Murray, Ky., plant by June of this year.
