Masonite Corp. is closing its Mohawk Flush Door plant in South Bend, Ind., according to several newspaper reports. The company expects to phase-out production over the next few months, shifting work to other North American facilities.

In an effort to increase its market presence, Crystal Window & Door Systems has initiated steps to integrate its Chicago-based affiliate manufacturer operations into its national operations. Everett, Wash.-based Crystalite Inc. reports it is the first manufacturer to offer a skylight listed with the National Fenestration Rating Council meeting the .30/.30 tax credit criteria. The company's ES Skylight frame is hybrid, combining its standard aluminum frame skylight with a drop-in PVC enhancement panel frame that extends down into the daylight opening.

Fortune Brands is merging its Fypon Ltd. business with Therma Tru Doors, its sister company, according to a company release.
