Windsor Windows received $326,400 worth of incentives from Monroe, N.C., and Union County, N.C., leaders to land the company’s $8 million 100,000-square-foot expansion in the area, according to The Charlotte Observer. The company employs about 200 people in Monroe, and the expansion is expected to create an additional 85-100 jobs.

The Seventh Court of Appeals affirmed May 9 that PPG Industries did not violate an arbitration award to the United Steelworkers by unilaterally implementing a two-tier wage system that lowered production and maintenance employees' pay at an Illinois glass manufacturing plant.

Andersen Corp. plans to expand an existing building at its Bayport, Minn., manufacturing facility and purchase new machinery as part of an $18 million expansion project. The expansion will create 100 full-time jobs, the company announced in a press release.

In an April 24 letter to customers, PPG Industries announced it would increase prices on primary glass products, effective June 2, 2014.
