According to an article in the Des Moines Register, Pella Corp. will layoff 198 workers, with most of the cuts coming at its Pella, Iowa, headquarters and manufacturing plant. Employees at its other Iowa manufacturing plants in Carroll, Sioux Center and Shenandoah, as well as its plant in Portland, Ore., will also be affected.

An article in the Pioneer Press reports that Andersen Corp. is planning to cut 250 jobs by the end of December. Employees were told about the layoffs on Monday and Tuesday, according to the newspaper.
