A nanostructured anti-fogging technology for glass developed by the Department of Energy's Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory has been honored with an 2011 R&D 100 award by R&D Magazine. The anti-fogging technology is said to out perform any similar technology on the market.

The children residing in two different 4 Kids Charity of South Florida facilities in Fort Lauderdale will soon have a more welcoming and safer way to enter their foster homes. As part of a volunteer renovation effort scheduled for June 11, the homes will receive a variety of new doors donated by Therma-Tru. One of the home is also slated to receive a dozen windows from Simonton Windows.

Champion Windows is launching a summer campaign called “Close the Window on Hunger” to donate to food banks all around the country. The replacement window manufacturer and installer plans to donate 50 pounds of food for every appointment and another 100 pounds for every order placed, it reports.
