2012 Top 100 Sales Range Category: $200 Million to $300 Million

General Information: The Quebec-based company owns and operates 10 plants across Canada with 800,000 square feet of production, warehouse and retail space. It recently announced plans to close Allied Window in British Columbia, while investing in new capacity at two of its Quebec plants. Although quiet in 2011, the acquisition-minded company expanded in 2010 with the the purchase of Allsco Building Products, a window and door manufacturer based in Moncton, New Brunswick. Shortly thereafter, it turned its attention to the middle of the country, adding Vinylbilt Window Systems, based in Vaughan, Ontario. In addition to Allsco in the Maritimes, the group’s Eastern Canadian operations include Laflamme Doors & Windows, which operates a 120,000-square-foot plant in St, Appolinaire, Que,, producing clad-wood windows and doors, all PVC windows and and steel entry doors. Also based in Quebec are Solarcan, Unicell, Melco and Vimat, which produce vinyl and aluminum products for both the residential and commercial markets. The Atis Group’s Western Canadian operations include Phoenix Glass in British Columbia and Bestway in Alberta. Cyprium Partners, a Cleveland-based private equity firm, is a leading investor in the Atis Group.


The Atis Group added Ontario-based Vinylbilt in 2010.
