Cheers to Excellence

Every year, Window & Door magazine takes its last issue of the year to recognize what window and door retailers are doing to make a difference for their customers as well as for their contributions to the industry and their communities. We share their stories in our Dealer of the Year Awards coverage to provide a benchmark for excellence and to raise the standards of professionalism and knowledge in the industry. (Reminder: The deadline for 2017 nominations is just a few days away. Enter by July 17!)
This year, we want to raise our bar, too, in terms of how we acknowledge our Dealers of the Year. Together with the Window & Door Dealers Alliancewe will host the first ever Dealer of the Year Awards Reception. We invite all of you to raise a glass to past honorees as well as this year’s winners during Window & Door Dealer Days, held September 12-13 in Atlanta at GlassBuild America.
Honorees of this year’s program as well as select winners from 2016 will be our guests at the event, which means many of the industry’s top dealers will all be in the same room for two days of education, collaboration and networking. I’m excited to see all of the ideas and inspiration to come out of that level of brain trust.
While I definitely want you all to enter to be recognized in our Dealer of the Year Awards program, I highly encourage you all to plan to attend Window & Door Dealer Days regardless of whether you are one of the recipients of the award and its perks (including complimentary registration for the event). The staff of Window & Door magazine has been working closely with the events team at WDDA to put together a can’t-miss event.
Between Solution Sessions—roundtable-type discussions on the toughest topics in the industry, networking opportunities, a lineup of fantastic speakers you’ll recognize from the pages of our magazine, and a Dream Showroom full of handpicked exhibitors, the journey to Atlanta promises to be well worth your time.
I hope to see you there so we can toast all of you that strive for excellence every day.
