A Great Day to be a Dealer?

There's lots of dealer-related news to report this week. In addition to announcing our annual Dealers of the Year winners, we're also talking about the newly-launched Window and Door Dealers Alliance. Supported by the National Glass Association, publisher of Window & Door, the new group's organizers are looking at educational programs and other efforts that can help raise the level of professionalism at the often-overlooked retail segment of the window and door industry.

I'd like to hear what you think of this new initiative. Are you intrigued by the fresh energy going into a group of this nature? What do you think a window and door dealer association should focus on as it attempts serve specialty retailers? Send me an email to share.

I think the new window and door dealer group is:
A good idea, and I plan to get involved.
Potentially positive, and I'll continue to watch it.
Not really necessary, as other associations can serve their needs.
Not sure yet.
