ATI Moves to Larger Facility in Florida

May 20, 2013

Architectural Testing Inc. has opened its new location in West Palm Beach, Fla. Designed to replace the company’s Riviera Beach location, this larger, more capable test facility offers 20,000 square feet of indoor space with 24 feet of ceiling clearance, a 128-foot by 40-foot outdoor mock-up wall, state-of-the-art equipment, as well as improved office space and conference areas, officials state.

“We believe our new facility will further enhance the customer experience when working with us in South Florida,” says Jeff McGovern, ATI's director of regional operations. “Our close proximity to the Miami-Dade County Building Department allows ATI staff to meet face to face with building code officials, thus improving the communication process during product approvals and maintaining the hands-on approach and guidance our clients have come to expect.”

With two acres of space remaining on site, the new facility offers future growth opportunities for ATI, including the addition of capabilities to offer wind-driven rain testing, uplift testing for structural metal roof systems, Safety Glazing Certification Council testing, Insulating Glass Certification Council testing, and thermal testing in accordance with the requirements of NFRC 102, AAMA 1503 and ASTM C1363.

Based in York, Pa., ATI operates 14 strategically placed laboratories across the United States and Canada. The West Palm Beach facility currently offers the following test disciplines: air, water, structural laboratory and field testing, impact and cycling testing, full-scale performance mock-up testing, as well as non-structural and structural roof uplift testing.
