The Combi-PPT powered pallet truck

Combilift was nominated as a finalist in the International Intralogistics and Forklift Truck of the Year Award, an annual international awards program in the materials handling industry. The Combi-PPT powered pallet truck has an 8.8-ton capacity and is one of three products shortlisted in the Warehouse Truck category.

The high-performance pedestrian-operated powered pallet truck has a range of capacities up to 17.6 tons so that heavy loads can be transported without the need for a ride-on forklift. The company also says its manoeuvrability capabilities allow it to operate efficiently in confined spaces.

The competition will enter its second round next month when finalists undergo an IFOY audit and innovation check by industry experts from various technical bodies. A jury of 29 journalists and editors from logistics media across 19 countries and four continents will also test and evaluate the nominated equipment for qualities such as technology, design, ergonomics, safety, marketability, customer benefit and sustainability.

“We are delighted to be one of the ‘chosen few’ for this important award and we look forward to demonstrating the capabilities of the Combi-PPT to the judging panel in March,” says Combilift Managing Director Martin McVicar. “We are naturally hoping for success in our category when the results are announced on April 26 at the IFOY Award night in Vienna, Austria.”
