Crystal Window & Door Systems will play a key role in a new DIY Network show, American Rehab: Restoring Victoria. The show utilized Crystal vinyl windows and an aluminum sliding door as part of the renovation of a 110-year old Newark, N.J. house. The multi-episode series premiered recently and is airing on the DIY Network during September and October.

For the past several years, Crystal has been the exclusive window supplier to the A&E TV Show Flipping Boston. The company report that the satisfaction of the producers of that show is what led to Crystal's selection for the new DIY TV American Rehab series. Crystal's contribution to the restoration project consisted of Crystal's energy efficient Series 200 vinyl double-hung and 2-lite sliding windows as well as a Series 1240 aluminum sliding door.

The Series 200 double-hung (AAMA rated R-PG50) and Series 220 2-lite slider (AAMA rated R-PG35) vinyl windows used for the project feature 3 ¼-inch jamb depth, full welded frames and sashes with 7/8-inch insulating glass units. The aluminum Series 1240, AAMA rating LC-PG45, features a 4-9⁄16-inch frame depth, 1-inch insulating tempered glass unit, tube sill with concealed drainage, and fibermesh locking screen.

For enhanced energy efficiency, all the Crystal products were provided with PPG's Solarban 60 low-E glass and argon gas. The windows utilized extruded white vinyl frames and sashes while the aluminum sliding patio door was finished with AAMA 2604 white powder coat paint.
