German Coatings Supplier Enters U.S. Market

Zobel Chemie GmbH, a manufacturer of water-based surface coatings for PVC and wood products, has expanded its international operations with the opening of a U.S. offtce.  Based in Worms, Germany, the company has established Zobel USA in New Albany, Ohio.

Zobel USA products are manufactured in Germany and warehoused and shipped out of a state-of-the-art facility.  The location, near Columbus, Ohio, was selected for its proximity to a high concentration of window manufacturers and extruders.

With a 40 year history, family-owned Zobel services markets in more than 40 countries, it reports.  Its product range includes the Zowosan and Zowo-plast coating systems, and are designed for wood and PVC applications indoors and out. Water-based Zowosan coating systems stand out for their resilience against weather, optimum regulation of the moisture of the wood, and long lasting elasticity, the company reports.  The products are also said to allow economical application with professional ease whether by brush, by spraying or by dipping.

Zobel products have been certified and tested to comply with all major European, Russian, Chinese and American standards, including those of the American Architectural Manufacturers Association, the company reports. 

In addtition to the coatings, Zobel also offers HaloDry halogen drying machinery, which enables customers to reduce the drying time of coated materials by a factor of 30 in comparison to conventional drying methods at room temperature, saving the customers valuable time and money during production, it is noted.
