ODL Inc. launched a new Resolve sealant which creates a foam seal that results in a one-part thermoset foam seal to secure doorglass in place. It is currently used in decorative doorglass products from ODL. The pliable material is said to be easier to work with and accommodates repositioning during installation. The dry sealant also avoids inconsistency and mess associated with wet glaze applications, according to the company.

“Our goal is to eliminate all use of wet glaze in our product applications,” says Amanda Fowler, national marketing manager for ODL Pro Channel. “There are myriad benefits associated with using a dry, foam sealant over a wet one.”

The company says the sealant is air and water resistant because of its uniform bead size and continuous-layer application. It's also paint and stain friendly; adherence performance isn't affected by overspray, the company reports. The seals are also reusable.
