Quanex Increasing Presence at International Shows

August 15, 2012

Looking to increase its presence in international markets, Quanex Building Products is participating in trade shows in Australia and South Africa this week. The Houston-based supplier of window and door components also plans to exhibit at glastec in Düsseldorf, Germany, in October.

Fenestration Australia 2012 opened Monday and concludes today in Fremantle, Western Australia. Quanex officials note that while show attendees may recognize the familiar Super Spacer product line, this is the first time the full line of Quanex products, including EnergyCore and MikronWood window and door systems for the Australian market, is on display.

“Because the Australian fenestration industry is advocating for greater thermal performance, attendees will appreciate our high performing warm-edge spacer and our window and door systems,” says Ramsey Bader, director, international sales and marketing, Engineered Products Group for Quanex. “As the Australian market demand increases for energy-efficient windows, doors and insulated glass units, Quanex is prepared to help support customers with products that are proven in the global marketplace to provide optimal thermal and production efficiencies.”

Quanex is at Glass Expo South Africa, which opens today in Nasrec, which is a suburb of Johannesburg. The supplier, co-exhibiting with local distributor, FG Trading, is featuring its lines of warm-edge spacer products, as well as its EnergyCore and MikronWood window and door systems.“Glass Expo is the premier fenestration trade show in Africa, so we are excited to be exhibiting with FG Trading this year,” Bader notes.

At Glasstec, a huge event held every other year attracting glass professionals from around the world, attendees will recognize the familiar Super Spacer, Super Spacer TriSeal, Duraseal and Duralite product lines, but this is the first time the full breadth of warm edge spacers will be introduced under the Quanex name at Glasstec, company officials note.

“As a regular exhibitor at Glasstec, we wanted to do something special to celebrate the record-breaking sales we’ve enjoyed over the last year in Europe and especially in the [German, Austrian and Swiss] region,” says Andy Jones, managing director of Quanex’s European operations.

At the event, Quanex will feature its warm edge spacer technologies, extensive marketing tools and its industry-leading expertise in efficient IG production. “We look forward to welcoming attendees to learn more about how we can help grow their businesses with high-performance spacer technologies and services,” Jones says.

Quanex will also be well represented at upcoming North American events. It is one of the largest exhibitors at GlassBuild North America, scheduled for Las Vegas in September, and will also be exhibiting at Win-Door North America, scheduled for Toronto in November.
