Michigan-based vinyl window manufacturer Wallside Windows, founded by Martin Blanck in 1944, is celebrating 75 years in business. Part of the celebration, says the company, is giving back to the community and celebrating its employees. Stanford and Stuart Blanck, and Stanford’s son, Adam Blanck, lead the company, which consists of more than 135 employees and hundreds of contractors.

The company started the year by donating new windows and installation to homes in Detroit through Life Remodeled and to a Flint family in need through its own Gift of Warmth program. Earlier this spring, Wallside Windows renewed a collaboration with Lyft to create Smart Ride with Wallside to provide a safe way to get home from Opening Day at Comerica Park. This summer, Wallside Windows employees will exclusively take over the first day of the Taylor Summerfest.

As the company grew, Martin Blanck moved Wallside Windows from its origins in Detroit to a 72,000-square-foot space in Taylor, Michigan. The company began by installing single pane windows and today installs windows that Wallside says are more energy efficient, longer lasting and higher quality. “The technology and efficiency have changed,” says Stanford Blanck.
