October Generates the Most Window Activity

According to the Yellow Pages Association, October generates the most activity for "windows” as people prepare for winter.  The organization reports that windows rank 85th out of more than 4,000 headings in their directories, generating 26 million references annually.

“Local window companies rely on Yellow Pages advertising to reach their target consumer, as well as achieve a superior return on investment,” says Larry Small, YPA director of research. “The average return on investment received by local "windows" display advertisers is $27 of sales revenue for every $1 spent on advertising.”

The Yellow Pages is the most frequently referenced medium before a purchase decision is made at this heading, the organization claims.  It says 94 percent of purchasers indicated buying from a place they saw in the Yellow Pages. Under the “Windows” heading, most users (73 percent) indicated looking at a local window company over a chain store, it is also reported.
