All Weather Named One of Canada's Best Managed Companies

March 2, 2010

For the second year in a row, All Weather Windows has been named one of Canada's 50 Best Managed Companies. The national award program, sponsored by Deloitte, CIBC Commercial Banking, the National Post and the Queen’s School of Business, is designed to recognize business excellence among Canadian-owned companies with revenues of more than $10 million.

To qualify for the award, a business must demonstrate world-class business practices, showing a consistent dedication to their core vision, a high value for stakeholders, and sustained growth over the year, officials report. More than that, a company must also exhibit an overall level of corporate health and initiative that goes beyond mere financial success.

Gord Wiebe, CEO of the Edmonton, Alta.-based window and door manufacturer, says the company is proud and gratified to qualify for and maintain its 50 Best Managed Companies status. He attributes All Weather's success to its core values: a philosophy that puts the customer first, a diverse and integrated team, as well as a belief in the value of integrity, corporate responsibility and global citizenship.

The continued administrative success of the company can also be traced to a lean initiative that has significantly improved performance and customer satisfaction levels over the past few years, executives note.

A Window & Door Top 100 Manufacturer, All Weather reports it is the largest Canadian-owned and operated window and door manufacturer in the country. Started in 1978, it has expanded coast to coast with 11 branches and manufacturing facilities in Alberta and Ontario.
