American Exteriors Earns Green Seal Certification

Colorado-based American Exteriors LLC recently became the third window manufacturer in the United States to earn Green Seal certification for its products.  The company, which manufactures and sells replacement windows, siding and other products, operates a manufacturing plant in Denver, as well as locations in Idaho, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Utah. 

American Exteriors' vinyl windows were certified to meet the environmental and performance requirements established by GS-13, Greenseal's environmental standard for windows.  Andersen Corp. and Gorell Windows & Doors previously earned Green Seal certificaiton for their window products. 

Founded in 1989, Green Seal strives to provide science-based environmental certification standards that are credible and transparent, and can purchasers and end users alike make responsible choices that positively impact business behavior and improve quality of life. The organization reports that hundreds of products and services from major companies have now been certified to meet Green Seal standards, and the number of major product categories covered by standards has increased to more than 40.
