The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has recognized Andersen Corp. with a 2013 Energy Star Partner of the Year, Sustained Excellence Award for the company’s continued leadership in protecting the environment through superior energy efficiency. The distinction recognizes Andersen’s family of brands including Andersen windows and doors, Renewal by Andersen replacement windows, E-Series/Eagle windows and doors, American Craftsman windows and doors, and Silver Line windows and doors.

The 2013 Partner of the Year, Sustained Excellence Awards are given only to organizations that have been named Energy Star Partner of the Year for three or more consecutive years. This is the second consecutive year Andersen has received the Sustained Excellence distinction.
Andersen received the award for its contribution to reducing greenhouse gas emissions by educating consumers through the use of Energy Star information in consumer education programs, advertising, media relations, web sites, product displays, social media and training materials. This distinction honors Andersen’s ongoing commitment to providing energy efficient products, as well as the company’s comprehensive and continuous improvement using state-of-the-art manufacturing processes to limit environmental impact, according to a release.

“Andersen’s commitment to energy efficiency and environmental stewardship is a part of our heritage. It’s in our nature, our company culture and every product we create,” says Sal Abbate, senior vice president of sales and marketing at Andersen. “It’s an honor we all share to be acknowledged for our environmental responsibility by Energy Star with the Partner of the Year, Sustained Excellence Award.”
