Caldwell Celebrates 1,000 Days of Safety

May 10, 2010

Reflecting the priority placed on a safe work environment, two of Caldwell Manufacturing Co. North America LLC's facilities recently celebrated safety milestones of operating 1,000 days without a lost-time accident. The number of days without accidents equates to more than 500,000 safe work hours, company officials note.

Employees at the balance hardware supplier's manufacturing plants in Williamsport, Md., and Alachua, Fla., received celebratory lunches recognizing their accomplishment.

“I have no greater responsibility than the safety of our employees and I can’t begin to express how proud I am to be associated with the people who have achieved this milestone," said Eric Mertz, Caldwell CEO, congratulating employees. "We must, and will continue the same commitment to safety in the next 1,000 day milestone.”

“It is hard to put into words how much I appreciate the work and dedication put forth by both teams to accomplish this milestone," added Kevin Nova, VP of manufacturing. "It is very gratifying to me to know that our employees can maintain such a high level of commitment while providing great customer service.”
