Deceuninck Receives Award for Environmental Performance

June 1, 2008

The Butler County Board of Commissioners and Department of Environmental Services honored Deceuninck North America, the extruder of vinyl window and door systems as well as siding, fencing, decking and railing, with a 2008 Excellence in Pretreatment Award during an Earth Day celebration on April 25. Award recipients are significant industrial users, as defined by the EPA, which consistently meet all local, state, and federal wastewater discharge standards and requirements.
Meeting these water quality standards is one part of the company's environmental initiatives. Additional green practices include material recycling and repurposing, reduced energy consumption, and improved chemistry incorporating renewable, plant-based additives, the company reports. This is the second consecutive year that Deceuninck has received the award.
Deceuninck North America is part of the Deceuninck Group, an integrated global organization with extrusion plants and logistics centers in the United States, Europe and Asia. The company is active in more than 76 countries worldwide.
