Wincore Provides Ongoing Support for Fight Against Breast Cancer

November 11, 2008

Wincore Windows & Doors celebrates breast cancer awareness every month, not just in October. As part of its their ongoing effort to support charitable organizations, the vinyl window manufacturer has supported Tough Enough to Wear Pink, a non-profit organization dedicated to increasing awareness and fundraising for breast cancer research, since it opened its manufacturing plant in 2007.

The company makes a yearly contribution based on annual window and patio door sales, explains Rick Barton, president. “In some way, every window and door Wincore manufacturers each year contributes to the overall annual donation.” he says, adding that supporting a cause such as breast cancer research is important to everyone at the Parkersburg, W. Va., based company.

“Wincore made a decision early on to support the communities that we are involved in. And since breast cancer has touched so many lives across the country, we believed that Tough Enough to Wear Pink organization and their efforts was something that we wanted to be a part of,” he says. “If you look at the total picture, our annual contributions may not be enough to make a huge difference. But I, along with all members of Wincore’s leadership team, believe that if everyone does a little, we can accomplish a lot.”
