Representing the culmination of 18 months of hardwork and dedication by employees, Keymark Corp. recently became registered to the ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System standard, officials report. The aluminum extrusion manufacturing and finishing company based in Fonda, N.Y., achieved ISO 9001:2008 status through BSI, an accredited certification body that performed two stages of audits based on the international quality standard.

"We believe that our decision to become an ISO 9001:2008 company is a proactive one that not only anticipates the demands of our customers, but also demonstrates our commitment to providing quality aluminum extrusions and finishing services," says Brent Slaton, national sales coordinator. "Our customers can be confident that Keymark Corp. is dedicated to maintaining the highest levels of effectiveness and responsiveness in achieving our goal of total customer satisfaction."

ISO 9001:2008 represents a set of international standards designed to establish a total quality management system that is used to drive continuous improvement activities, company officials note.  To maintain Keymark's registration, BSI will perform annual surveillance audits to ensure compliance and to assess initiatives for continued improvement.
