Power Home Remodeling Picked as Top Workplace

March 29, 2011

The Philadelphia Inquirer has named Power Home Remodeling Group to its "Top Workplaces" list for the second consecutive year. The rankings are based upon the opinions of employees, with more than 1,600 companies, nonprofits and government agencies in the Philadelphia region invited to participate.

More than 90 percent of Power's 310 locally-based employees completed detailed questionnaires about their jobs, management and work environment–citing the company's upward growth and direction, career opportunities and training, and positive management as reasons why Power should be named as Philadelphia's top midsized employer, the company reports.

"I'm proud of the company's unique culture and the entrepreneurial attitude of our employees," says Jeff Kaliner, Power co-founder and CEO. "We're empowered by a strong, talented workforce and I'm honored that our employees are confident in my leadership. Our goal is to be the number one home remodeler in the country, and to translate our growth into job creation and stable employment opportunities at our headquarters here in Philadelphia–as well as across the U.S. within the next few years."

A 2009 Window & Door Dealer of the Year, Power reports it is now the nation's fourth largest home remodeling company with more than 900 full and part-time employees and $130 million in sales. Headquartered in Chester, Pa., the company serves homeowners in Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Washington, D.C.
