Simonton Windows Donates Windows to Charity Home

January 9, 2009

Simonton Windows is donating a house full of energy-efficient, low-maintenance windows to the St. Jude Dream Home giveaway in Morgantown, W. Va. Representatives from A&A Homes broke ground in November for the 1,682 square foot, single story home, which will be given away during the summer of 2009 to a raffle winner.
Raffle tickets are priced at $100 each and will be available starting April 3. All proceeds raised from the raffle will benefit research and treatment of pediatric cancer at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Tennessee.
“We’re proud to supply the windows for this home so that funding can be raised for St. Jude,” says Mark Savan, president of Simonton Windows. “When communities come together to create a valuable project like this, everyone benefits.”
The Dream Home Giveaway was created in 1991. Today it is the largest single-event fundraiser for St. Jude nationwide. More than $148 million has been collected as a result of many homes created and raffled away to benefit the non-profit organization.
