Simpson Honors Employees at Centennial Celebration

September 6, 2012

With officials noting that the manufacturer's success today and throughout its history is a result of an experienced and talented workforce, Simpson Door Co. honored past and present employees to mark its 100th anniversary this past summer.  The company hosted a celebration at its McCleary, Wash., facility for current and retired employees, their families and community members.

Current employees and retirees gathered to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Simpson Door Co.

“100 years in business is a remarkable milestone, and an achievement every Simpson employee over the past century has helped us reach,” says Stacie Conkle, Simpson general manager. “Our people helped Simpson weather market downturns and adapt to changes in the building industry. Their hard work and dedication made this landmark occasion possible.”

Since 1912, many generations of families have devoted their lives to creating handcrafted Simpson stile-and-rail, interior, exterior and custom wood doors, officials note. Starting as a door and plywood manufacturer in the forestland of the Pacific Northwest, the company has grown to be one of the leading wood door manufacturers in the country.
