Truseal Celebrates 10 Years with Energy Star

March 4, 2009

Truseal Technologies Inc. is celebrating its 10th year as an Energy Star partner. The supplier of warm-edge IG spacer systems became a partner in 1998, the first year window components were recognized as a category in the Department of Energy program, officials note.

“We’re proud to announce that Truseal has been an Energy Star partner for a decade. The partnership has helped Truseal maintain its leadership position in providing the most energy efficient spacers to the window industry,” says Ric Jackson, the company's director of marketing and business development. “More than ever before, today’s homeowners are concerned about energy savings. Both the Energy Star and Envirosealed Windows programs speak directly to homeowners’ wishes and help families make smart choices for improving energy efficiency in their homes.”

Being an Energy Star partner complements Truseal’s own efforts to promote energy efficiency in its product offering, the company states. Truseal focuses on Energy Star fundamentals in its Envirosealed Windows campaign that highlights how products incorporating its Dura platform spacers feature low U-values, which leads to energy savings and reduced CO2 emissions. The supplier's booth at GlassBuild America 2008 showcased how windows made with its spacers met or exceeded proposed Energy Star criteria for 2009 and 2013.
