January 5, 2009

Window World Cares, the charitable foundation of Window World Inc., recently presented a contribution to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in the amount of $160,000. The company also announced that it has committed its’ fundraising efforts exclusively to St. Jude’s.

“Even though our country has been experiencing difficult economic times, we remained focused on helping St. Judes, a first-class hospital known for cutting edge pediatric cancer research and treatment,” says Tammy Whitworth, chairperson of Window World Cares. “We also wanted to benefit an agency that had the reputation for responsible fiscal management, which St. Jude’s has consistently proven for many years.”

Donations were collected from individual Window World franchise owners and employees nationwide, and also matched “dollar-for-dollar” by the Window World Cares foundation. In addition to the initial donation, Window World has pledged continued support for the St. Jude’s in 2009 and its program will be expanded to allow for the collection of donations from their customers.

“We have seen fresh innovation and opportunity already, as stores around the country came up with ways to share St. Jude’s story,” says Whitworth. “Some miracles require tremendous resources. We anticipate this partnership to continue for many seasons of goodwill.”

Window World says it is America’s largest replacement window company with offices in over 200 cities nationwide. Founded in 1995, the company says it sells and installs over 1 million residential replacement windows annually, and continues to grow each year.
