Fibertec Builds New Facility, Expands Product Line

May 1, 2007

Fibertec Window & Door Manufacturing has moved to a new location two blocks from its former site in Concord, Ont. The 50,000-square-foot facility features increased automation and it enabled the company to add an insulating glass line, as well as a horizontal slider production line to compliment its existing products.

The local move allows the producer to retain its current workforce, and company officials expect to add more to the roster with its continued growth in both the new construction and replacement markets.

Fibertec officials report having opted for green features in its new facility. “In keeping with the energy efficiency and green aspect of our product lines, we chose to relocate to a new facility that allowed us to incorporate a state-of-the-art, high efficient HVAC system, energy efficient glazing throughout the front showroom and offices, no pesticide or harmful fertilized lawn care, and interior wood flooring that uses no harmful chemical adhesives,” says Lisa Macaulay, marketing representative for the company.

Fibertec focuses on manufacturing fiberglass window and door systems, and has recently enhanced its product lines with a unique stainable wood interior.
