NFRC to Host Two CMA Webinars

The National Fenestration Rating Council is conducting a free webinar on December 3 looking at the use of its Component Modeling Approach for rating the energy performance of commercial fenestration system in California.  The webinar will be held from 10 a.m. to noon PST (1 - 3 p.m. EST).

CMA is referenced as a compliance path in the state of California’s Title 24, the California Building Standards Code. The webinar will provide more information on how NFRC's new rating system can be used.  Those wishing to register for the webinar can go to

NFRC will also host a regular CMA Pilot Project Update webinar next Wednesday, December 9 at 1 p.m. Currently in its pilot phase, the CMA program is expected to be implemented in January 2010.  The update, similar to a session offered in November, will cover recent developments in the program, including a look at the CMA Software Tool (CMAST) and the CMA product certification program.

The webinars also provide a venue for participants to ask questions and seek clarifications on CMA-related topics. More information about update is available on the CMA training page of the NFRC Web site.
