WDMA Partners with Hanley Wood on Market Research

Hanley Wood LLC and the Window and Door Manufacturers Association have formed a strategic partnership to provide comprehensive data on the residential window, door and skylight market, as well as the architectural door market. The output of the research is designed to provide WDMA members with complete, dependable and timely intelligence to enable improved analysis and forecasting.

"This partnership will provide us and our members with the data and information needed to understand key trends and product-specific performance, along with a credible view of the future that will enable the industry to make better decisions."

"By combining data from WDMA and its members with the rich data from Metrostudy and perspective from Hanley Wood's broad industry audience reach, we will be able to provide window and door manufacturers and their suppliers with insights spanning the entire residential housing spectrum, and a level of granularity they can only get through this alliance."

In previous years, WDMA partnered with the American Architectural Manufacturers Association to sponsor window and door industry market reports prepared by Ducker Worldwide. With the new relationship with Hanley-Wood, WDMA has elected not to continue supporting those efforts, O'Brien reports.

Current plans are for Hanley-Wood to prepare annual reports for 2014 and 2015 with supplemental updates throughout the year, he also notes.  WDMA expects the first report to come out some time in the first quarter of 2014.
