Notch Above

Vinyl Link

Ph: 801/991-1013

The Notch Above integrated production system from Vinyl Link keeps all four sides of a window connected until they get to the welder, as the lineal is notched rather than cut through completely.  At the welding stage, special Triple Play machinery in each corner shears and squares the notches before welding. Said to reduce labor 50 to 75 percent and scrap up to 30 percent, the process greatly reduces material handling and floor space requirements, and assures that lineals are always in order, welds are never out of configuration and the notch cut is practically the only scrap, according to the supplier.  The system uses modified equipment from Stürtz Machinery Inc., and is managed by Vinyl Link's proprietary NotchWare software, written and supported by Fenetech Inc.
