Top Manufacturers Reimagined
How and why we’re reorganizing the list
Window + Door once again is asking residential window and door manufacturers in North America to share information for our annual Top Manufacturers list and report. This list and corresponding report continue to serve as the industry’s comprehensive source of information for manufacturers in North America, providing information about the company and its products, plus a report that discusses industry challenges, opportunities, trends, labor, production, automation and more.
We’re once again bringing you the same list with the same information, but with one big change this year. Rather than organizing the list by gross sales ranges as we have historically done, the Top Manufacturers list will be listed by national and regional manufacturers.

Why the change?
We know how much manufacturers value their privacy in this industry, and we hear you that it’s a big ask to provide us with even a broad range of your gross sales. When companies don’t volunteer that information, our team has researched as best we can through previous years’ data, public records and other research avenues so that we can sort the list. With a busy M&A market and more companies going private, this has become harder each year.
Window + Door has the dual responsibility to provide a comprehensive list of fenestration manufacturers and to organize it in a verifiable, factual manner. This new organizational structure will allow us to concretely place manufacturers within the list even if they don’t participate in this year’s survey, ensuring we provide an accurate, comprehensive list that meets Window + Door’s editorial standards.
The survey still asks for your revenue range. We, and the readers of this list, still value this information. Please continue to provide this revenue information while filling out the survey. It’s still valuable information to include in your company listing; it just simply will not be how we organize the list itself. I can assure you Window + Door will continue to protect your company’s privacy.
