Amadou Sar has officially acquired Vienna Glass Company. To facilitate their retirement after decades of hard work in the glazing trade, second-generation owners Ron Glaze and Scott Williams sold 100% of the shares of the company to Sar.
About Sar
As the incoming chief executive officer and a tenured professional in the architecture, engineering and construction industry, Sar says he is "honored to continue the legacy built by the first two generations of the company’s leaders and will endeavor to fulfill our vision to be a preferred partner for our customers and suppliers and an employer of choice for our associates."
Sar previously worked as the vice president of sales, marketing and estimating for EFCO Corp. and in the same position for Wausau Window & Wall Systems.
Looking ahead
Sar assures that the company's project delivery remains unaffected by the leadership transition and Vienna Glass will experience seamless continuity in its business activities. The following will remain the same:
- The company will continue to do business from its current Manassas, Virginia, facility.
- The full complement of experienced Vienna Glass professionals agreed to remain in the company.
- Retired owners Ron Glaze and Scott Williams will remain on board through a transition period.
"In the next few weeks, I will continue to become familiar with projects under execution and meet face-to-face with our customers and business partners. Our team will also share exciting news about our business as we progress into this next chapter," Sar says in a release. "We thank you for your support over the years and would like to reiterate our sincere gratitude for your trust and partnership."
