AmesburyTruth announced that the Monterrey, Mexico, facility has received the “Sustainable Company Distinction” certification issued by the Universidad de Monterrey and the Secretary of Economy of Nuevo León in Northeast Mexico.
About the distinction
Through the UDEM and the Mexican state of New León, a group of AmesburyTruth employees set out to find ways to improve the environmental footprint of the facility. The team brought their learnings back to Monterrey, and over the course of seven months, completed enhancements in areas focusing on sustainability and regulatory compliance. These changes were recognized by the state, and the UDEM awarded the distinction.
Employees recognized for their contributions are project coordinator Javier Pizaña, energy employee Raymundo Ambriz, environment employee Eduardo Martinez, chain of valor Javier de la Rosa, and social responsibility employees José Zuñiga and María Santiago.
What the company says
“It’s quite an accomplishment. Forty companies set out to reach this certification and only 12 were able to implement what they learned successfully. We are very proud of this team, and thanks to their dedication, AmesburyTruth is on a better path to a more sustainable future,” says President Bob Burns.
