Cardinal Introduces Window Energy Savings and Thermal Comfort Calculator
Cardinal Glass Industries announced the launch of the Cardinal Energy + Comfort Calculator, an app designed to revolutionize how homeowners choose the best glass option in their windows for their specific location.
How it works
This free and user-friendly tool guides users through the process of selecting glass in windows that meets energy-efficiency standards, saves on heating and cooling, and helps to maintain a comfortable home across all seasons. In a matter of seconds, homeowners and professionals can narrow down the best-performing, low-emissivity coatings for any climate zone in North America, based on three criteria:
1. Code compliance. Users can compare windows that meet or exceed Energy Star 7 or 2021 International Energy Conservation Code compliance standards for their individual geographic locations. The app will be updated to reflect code changes.
2. Energy savings. The app instantly calculates heating and cooling savings percentages based on local climate conditions and energy costs. Each product is compared to a two-pane window with clear glass.
