Clopay Corporation now offers the low-profile Tube Motor Operator and the EverGard Tube Motor Operator with battery backup. Both new products enhance functionality and ease of use for a variety of door types, including rolling counter doors, security grilles, and light gauge service doors. Available through the Cornell and Cookson brands.
Tube Motor Operator
The Tube Motor Operator is a service tubular AC motor operator with a low profile, lightweight design and compact side room. With a rating of 5 cycles/hour, this motor operator is UL325 listed and available in 3-inch and 4-inch type motors that work with a wide range of door sizes.
The Tube Motor Operator includes an auxiliary hand crank for manual operation in emergencies, plus built-in Open/Close/Stop buttons and a 24 VDC output signal that warns when the door is in motion. It also has a dedicated terminal for connecting a monitored entrapment protection device, and it includes a close override feature in case the entrapment device malfunctions. An optional secondary monitored entrapment module is available for added protection. A one-second delay prior to reversing is also in place to prevent operator injury and door damage.
Standard components of the Tube Motor Operator are auto-reset thermal protection that prevents motor burnout, electronic limit switches that enable limit setting via a simple three-button station at floor level, and an exterior radio-control terminal for fast, easy connection of radio controls. It is pre-wired for additional optional sensing devices, and users can add an edge device, photo eye, or other detection device as desired.
EverGard Tube Motor Operator
With neatly concealed drive components, the EverGard Tube Motor Operator is ideal for door openings with tight clearances around the coil area. With a totally enclosed non-ventilated (TENV) motor and AC/DC input for auto switching, this motor operator is compatible with counter doors, security grilles, and light gauge service doors.
For safety and security, the integrated battery backup of the EverGard Tube Motor Operator provides up to 10 cycles within a 48-hour period. This UL325 listed motor operator also comes standard with a remote programmable control box, equipped with 12 feet of cable and configurable functions, such as "Auto-Open" and "Stay in Position" in case of critically low voltage or power loss.
Additionally, this motor operator offers features such as a non-resettable cycle counter, a speed governor, and an abnormal power warning LED with an optional audible alert. Customizable settings and an optional lock sensor mechanism add another layer of versatility, making the EverGard Tube Motor Operator a complete solution for secure and efficient door operation.
