National manufacturer Crystal Window & Door Systems broke ground this week on its new production facility in Mansfield, Texas. The city of Mansfield and Crystal leaders celebrated with a ceremony at the site, attended by local and state elected officials. A proclamation from Texas Governor Greg Abbott was also presented to Crystal.

The Mansfield, Texas, location just outside the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area will be the sixth major manufacturing plant for Crystal in the nation. Crystal currently has major production facilities in New York, Pennsylvania, California, Missouri and Illinois. Plans call for the development of the 46-acre Mansfield site in phases, with a total of over 600,000 square feet of production space and over 500 skilled jobs once fully completed over the next few years. Site preparation is underway. Plans for the initial phase of construction are being finalized and construction is expected to start in 2025.
