Donald Friese, a renowned figure in the glass and glazing industry with over 60 years of experience, announced his return to the industry following six years of retirement. He is best known for his leadership as chairman and CEO of C.R. Laurence Co., where he guided the company through significant growth and strategic acquisitions before its sale to Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope in 2015.
The announcement signals Friese's ongoing commitment to the industry, underscoring his desire to nurture its growth and ensure its future prosperity. He plans to invest in education initiatives and serve as a strategic advisor to the Frameless Hardware Company.
"I have a deep love for this industry and immense gratitude for all it has given me," says Friese. "Now, it's my turn to give back and contribute to its continued success."
