The Farnsworth Group updated its COVID Home Improvement Tracker for the DIY and contractor markets.
For contractors, optimism and increased activity continue even during these traditionally slower months. Only 66 percent of contractors indicated they saw delays or cancellations in work, down from its peak of 85 percent. Half of contractors said homeowner financial concerns were a reason for project delays and stoppages, which is a lower number than previous months. More contractors also indicate project delays will be less than a month.
