Fenestration Canada announced Terry Adamson will join its technical team, effective May 2021. His addition creates a technical department within the organization, which the organization says will help member companies "successfully navigate the challenges presented by the accelerating pace of change in the regulatory environment."
Fenestration Canada also said in a statement, "This addition will help us to achieve our strategic plan to enhance our capability to provide members with educational and technical support, and to engage meaningfully with regulators and other industry stakeholders."
Adamson has more than 35 years in the fenestration business with Westeck Windows, the past 10 of which he spent as technical director. He's also been an active participant in industry associations, spending 11 years with Fenestration BC and seven years with Fenestration Canada, holding the president's role with both groups.
Effective immediately, Adamson will resign from his role of president of the Board at Fenestration Canada. Mike Bruno, Everlast Group of Companies, currently first vice-president will complete Adamson’s mandate before starting his own.
Cam Drew, Thermoproof Windows and Doors, will move from the position of 2nd vice-president to first vice-president. The nomination process to fill the role of second vice-president has started, and the nomination process to recruit new board members will begin shortly.
