Gateway Extrusions, based in Union, Missouri, was recognized by the city of Union with an official proclamation from Mayor Robert Schmuke marking the company’s 20 years of achievements and growth.
Union City Director of Community & Economic Development James Schmieder presented the proclamation to Gateway General Manager Brent Robb at a recent visit to the facility. Earlier in the year, Missouri State Representative Brad Banderman toured the Gateway factory and presented a Missouri House of Representatives Proclamation to Robb and the employees of Gateway.

“Gateway has invested significantly in equipment, factory modernization, business development, and recruiting and developing our skilled workforce over the past 20 years. The efforts are paying off; we just finished a record year for sales revenues and quantity of metal extruded and we see solid continued growth,” adds Robb.
About Gateway
Gateway opened in 2003 with the acquisition of the shuttered Cupples Aluminum Products plant in the Union Industrial Park by Gateway’s parent company, national manufacturer Crystal Window & Door Systems. Since then, Gateway has expanded from a regional operation to a national supplier whose customers can be found coast to coast. In addition to aluminum window frame extrusions, the company supplies such diverse industries as lighting, shelving and storage systems, partitions, solar racking systems, railings, fencing, and boat and trailer accessories. Gateway currently employs over 100 workers and anticipates additional hiring in the coming months.
