GED Integrated Solutions Inc., a portfolio company of The Beekman Group, has acquired Norfield Inc., a California-based provider of automation equipment, parts and services to the residential and commercial door manufacturing market.
Founded in 1959, Norfield targets the pre-hung door machinery industry and is headquartered in Chico, California, with a second facility in the Raleigh, North Carolina, area.
The acquisition of Norfield allows both companies to leverage their assets and ideals to continue to serve manufacturers of windows and doors with broader capabilities, according to a statement.
“We are highly impressed with Norfield’s market position, their product portfolio and long-term customer relationships," says Bill Weaver, CEO of GED. "Their successful history of serving the door manufacturing market and their focus on value-added solutions is a terrific match for GED, and we are thrilled to welcome them to the GED family. We believe we will accomplish more together in the years to come than we could as separate companies.”
“Norfield and GED are leaders in their respective equipment markets, and they share the same goals of delivering high quality products, services and aftermarket parts to their customers," says Jeff Reed, executive chairman of GED. "The two businesses will complement each other well, and I along with Beekman and GED look forward to supporting their continued growth.”
Both GED and Norfield will retain their respective company brands.
