Gerkin Windows and Doors Announces Significant Plant Expansion

Gerkin Windows and Doors has announced the opening of its new 28,000-square-foot glass plant addition at its South Sioux City, Nebraska, campus. This $7 million addition with plant and machinery doubles its existing glass plant footprint and will provide for current and future sales requirements.

Additional expansion

As soon as the glass plant addition was finished, Gerkin started construction on an $8 million main plant addition, which will add 80,000 square feet. This addition will provide for more dock doors and warehouse staging. This new addition is anticipated to be open for operation in the fall of 2025.

Gerkin also recently purchased additional land adjoining its current facilities for future plant growth.

Gerkin Windows and Doors is a top window and door manufacturer with over 260 employees. With the new additions, Gerkin will be operating with 380,000 square feet of production space on its South Sioux City campus.
