Jeld-Wen temporarily closed some of its locations as a result of the global outbreak of the novel coronavirus, the Charlotte Business Journal reports. While the company did not disclose which locations where production is suspended, the company stated in a news release that the locations cumulatively represent less than 10 percent of its 2019 consolidated net revenues. The company cited “COVID-19 related restrictions” as the reason for suspending production.
"In a small number of locations, the company temporarily has suspended production to maintain compliance with local restrictions, while we await clarification on our designation," Jeld-Wen said in its statement to the Journal.
In many jurisdictions, the company’s products and services fall into categories that have received an ‘essential business’ or ‘life-sustaining’ designation by government agencies, the company reports.
