In celebration of the United Nations’ World Creativity and Innovation Day, MITER Brands announced a shift in its identity: the “I” in the MITER acronym now stands for innovation — a move that reflects the company’s commitment to progress, performance, and possibility.
This change pays tribute to PGT Innovations, which officially joined the MITER Brands family in March 2024.
What MITER leadership says
“Innovation doesn’t just happen in our product designs,” says Matt DeSoto, CEO of MITER Brands. “It happens in every aspect of our business — from the proprietary machines we create, to the unique solutions we offer our customers, to the way we manufacture the finest windows and doors on the market. Innovation is more than a buzzword — it’s a belief. And now, it’s in our name.”
DeSoto discussed the acronym change in depth and shared the history of MITER Brands on a recent episode of the Clear Impact Podcast.
“Innovation has always been about finding a better way – whether it’s creating impact-resistant products that protect families or building a culture that empowers people to think differently,” says Rod Hershberger, founder of PGT Innovations and member of the MITER Brands board. “It’s inspiring to see MITER Brands embrace that spirit and make it a permanent part of their identity.”
