NFRC Announces 2021 Membership Recognition Awards
The National Fenestration Rating Council held its virtual Fall Membership meeting this week.
In addition to sessions about emerging trends and innovations that foster more energy-efficient windows, doors and skylights, the meeting included the introduction of two new networking opportunities for fenestration professionals with the Women in Fenestration Network and the Sustainability Network. “Each group provides a forum to connect, share ideas, and hear about trends in the industry,” says Deb Callahan, NFRC CEO.
As part of the meeetings, NFRC bestowed three membership recognition awards.
Dariush Aratesh Memorial Member of the Year Award
Kevin Dix, Manko Window Systems
Kevin clearly earned the notice and respect from his peers with his work on the NFRC commercial program, as he was nominated by multiple people. The service that Kevin has provided leading up to and including 2021 is testament to his commitment to NFRC and the improvement of the commercial program.
Emerging Leader Award
Jean-Michel Dussault, Veridis Solutions
Several people nominated Jean-Michel for his leadership and contributions to various task groups and for the donation of his time and resources, particularly for the development of the Condensation Index Rating.
Sustainability Member Company of the Year Award
Velux Group
NFRC is excited to announce Velux Group as the recipient of the inaugural Sustainability Member of the Year Award, selected by the NFRC staff-led Environmental Team. This award recognizes the notable achievements and contributions of an NFRC member company within the last year to build a more sustainable fenestration industry.
NFRC is thrilled to honor Velux for its Sustainability Strategy 2030 that sets an ambitious goal of becoming Lifetime Carbon Neutral by 2041. Using science-based targets, they’re taking responsibility for their past and future carbon emissions.
