The National Fenestration Rating Council Board of Directors named two new members to serve a three-year term and reappointed two directors to serve second terms. The NFRC board provides vision, direction and strategic planning leadership for the organization and ensures that programs and policies are in place to support the NFRC mission.
The following new board members will begin their terms in January 2025:
Jean-Michel Dussault, Founder and President, Veridis Solutions Inc.
Jean-Michel Dussault has 15 years of experience as an engineer specializing in heat transfer and through his company Veridis Solutions Inc., provides expert services that promote energy efficiency in fenestration. His extensive expertise has directly benefited various cutting-edge research projects that help advance NFRC procedures. He led NFRC research on vacuum insulating glass, spearheaded the development of the CI Temperature Reading Tool in collaboration with NFRC staff, and assumed leadership roles as chair of CSA A440.2 and chair of the AVFQ Fenestration Technical Committee.
Lauren Westmoreland, Vice President, Energy & Sustainability, Stewards of Affordable Housing for the Future
Lauren Westmoreland leads SAHF’s environmental initiatives, including Bringing Sustainability Home, a cross-cutting energy and health initiative that aims to ensure that low-income residents and communities have equal access to critical environmental and health benefits. In addition, Westmoreland is building on the success of The Big Reach, SAHF’s energy and water conservation initiative, to support its members in identifying scalable solutions for a low-carbon future that benefit low-income residents and communities and that mitigate the impact of climate change. Prior to joining SAHF, Westmoreland led the Enterprise Green Communities state and local policy initiative at Enterprise Community Partners and developed and directed the Southeast Energy Efficiency Alliance’s Built Environment portfolio.
In addition, following board members Amy Boyce, vice president, building energy and climate solutions, WSP United States, and Helen Sanders, general manager, glass insulation North America, Technoform North America, have been reappointed to a second three-year term.
“Both Jean-Michel and Lauren have a depth of experience in their respective fields and bring technical and practical expertise that has direct application to NFRC’s work and mission,” says NFRC CEO Deb Callahan. “They will complement the existing NFRC Board leadership as we move forward in our ambitious three-year strategic plan.”
